FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. How do I break into the art market?
A. Getting involved in an organization like LAA that has exhibits regularly and other opportunities to rub shoulders with artists is the first step. Keeping your work in a closet is not going to help you succeed! You have to get out and exhibit so people can see your work and begin to recognize you and provide help.
Q. How do I get into an LAA exhibit?
A. Once you become a Member, you will be informed of an upcoming exhibit through our Flash News email, about a month prior to drop off. The exhibits are juried by prominent professional artists and art educators. These jurors view your work and choose pieces that meet exhibition standards. The process is clearly spelled out under “Rules of Exhibition.” Read the rules. If there is anything we can help you with, you are welcome to contact us.
